Working the Magic

Posted by on 09.06.19 in Construction Projects, Thank You

Here an email that I shared on campus last week. I thought it was worth sharing more widely.

Thanks are regularly offered for the hard and smart work done by Muskegon Community College staff and faculty.  However, a picture is worth a thousand words.  Below is a shot of the Medium Ensemble Room in our new Art and Music Building at 9:30 am on August 29th:

Here is the same room at 10:00 am on the same day:

This room was transformed from meeting space for West Michigan business leaders back into a rehearsal hall in for our students in ½ hour flat.  This takes logistics expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to move on the fly in changing conditions.

As Stanley Dean, Physical Plant Manager notes, we have an excellent group of employees who rise to the call.  A big thanks to Directors Stacey Debrot, David Sturgeon, and Vonny Murphy, along with Kim, Scott L, Information Technology, Auxiliary Services, and everyone helping make things run seamlessly on a daily basis.
