2015 All-Michigan Academic Team

Good afternoon on this Good Friday.

Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a reception and tour of the Michigan State Capitol with Kaylee Austin and Aliyah Mitchell.  These accomplished students were named to the 2015 All-Michigan Academic Team, and are both members of MCC’s Phi Theta Kappa Chapter.  To be eligible for membership in PTK, students must complete a minimum of twelve hours of associate degree course work and generally earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.   While we have many students distinguishing themselves, our PTK students always demonstrate high academic achievement, community service, and dedication to compelling and diverse interests.  Aliyah and Kaylee are exemplars of this.  Please visit the MCC Phi Theta Kappa page here (http://www.muskegoncc.edu/phi-theta-kappa/P and the MCC news pages here  (http://www.muskegoncc.edu/news-and-events/two-mcc-students-named-to-2015-all-michigan-academic-team/)  to learn more about Aliyah and Kaylee.
